the boomer live

Played golf at the Eagles last week with my friend Brian.  As we were about to tee off the starter  put a single player with us.  The player introduced himself as “Vince”,  we tee’d off from our usual white markers and “Vince” went to the black tee box and proceeded to crush his drive 300yds!  Halfway through the hole Brian says to me “I think that guy looks a lot like Bo Jackson the football / baseball player”.  (Vince was wearing Auburn golf gear, Jacksons alma mater).  So Brian asks him if he went to Auburn? Yes.  Did he play football? Yes. You’re Bo Jackson?  Yes, but just Vince playing golf today.  So we played a round of golf with Bo Jackson, Heisman Trophy winner, football running back, and baseball player.  He seemed a really nice guy, told us a few interesting stories.  Another thing that was obvious from our conversations was his love of hunting.  An enjoyable unexpected  companion for our round of golf!
