First Video OF Flight 1549 Landing In Hudson

January 17th, 2009 · No Comments

Here is the first video I have seen of the Flight 1549 crash landing in the Hudson River .

The video is fro a from a US Coast Guard camera.  After 2 minutes the plane suddenly enters from the left of the screen.  At 2 minutes 30 seconds (30 secs elapsed since crash), the camera zooms in, and passengers have already started to walk out on the wing.  At 2:55, (55 secs  elapsed since crash), the first life raft inflates.  At 5:41 (3:41 elapsed since crash), the first rescue boat arrives.  Absolutely Amazing!

I bet you won’t bury your head in a book or magazine during the pre flight emergency briefing in the future!

Update: After I posted the above, some more video became available, here is the crash landing from a different angle.
