VLC Media Player

January 14th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Ever not been able to play a video file with Windows Media Player ?  We use VLC media player as a back up to windows media player, it comes with codecs to play most video files.  When a file won’t play in windows media player we just open VLC and it plays!   Its free, and worth a try.  As far as I can tell, and from online checks it does not contain any spyware or other obnoxious programs.  Download here or here.

As far as I can see it is safe. Make sure you download it from videolan.org. Some of the other sites may be a unreliable.
