The fight was stopped after round 1…..no contest !
We have used Netflix happily for a couple of years but earlier this year we were seduced by Blockbusters advertising and offer of unlimited store exchange as well as regular snail mail exchange. We have a Blockbuster store within a mile of us so it was convenient. The dark clouds of dissatisfaction started to form after a month when Blockbuster cut the unlimited store exchange to 5 store exchanges a month. However the worst thing we found was that we could not get new release movies on the same week as released, they went straight to long wait. It would appear that Blockbuster does not order enough of the new releases. My guess is in about three months this will not be a problem because there will be so few people using Blockbuster there may be enough movies to go around. We rejoined Netflix this weekend and got Oceans 13, Ratatouille, and Hoax first try. (last 2 long wait at Blockbuster)
Commentary: When will companies learn that cutting services to look after the bottom line only creates unhappy customers. If you look after the customer and give the good service the bottom line will look after itself.
